Poplars at Crofton

Initially envisaged as a small scale increase to an existing ward, the project was re-evaluated to provide a new 10 bed ward for elderly patients with mental health issues.

The design of the scheme extends the original ward block to provide 5 new bedrooms and then reconfigures the remainder of the internal spaces to provide the other 5 bedrooms and all the associated day space. Consultants, Doctors and Junior Doctors are all relocated to the building to provide one facility specialising in this patient group.

The project looks to provide additional ensuite bedroom accommodation to an existing ward, through a new link corridor with support services and the conversion of existing office spaces into bedrooms, en-suites and associated facilities.

T.A.D. has been appointed from the outset of the project to develop the scheme through all RIBA Stages, including the administration of the contract on site. The appointment through the NHS SBS Framework includes the provision of a full multi-disciplinary team utilising our local supply chain.
