Redevlopment of the Hannover Church Site, Sheffield
Following a consolidation of church activities onto a smaller number of sites the Church Council had identified a potentially surplus site with church and residential buildings on it.
We worked with their Estate Agents to undertake a site evaluation and financial appraisal which identified the benefit of splitting the buildings on the site and hence marketing the church element of the site for redevelopment, and retaining/leasing the residential buildings.
Consequently we were appointed to obtain a Planning Approval to establish and maximise the value of the site to potential bidders.
The site was within a conservation area and close to the University and Hospitals with the inherent access and parking issues associated with such areas.
Following consultations and detailed discussions with the local planners we obtained an approval for 7 town houses on the site which secured a sale of the site and a healthy income for the church.
