This single storey extension to an existing family dwelling in Totley, provided an additional bedroom to the property and much needed living space on the ground floor. The existing layout separated the primary living spaces at ground floor, creating issues for the young family.
The contemporary solution provided a new living/dining/kitchen space at ground floor, with the full width sliding glass doors providing a real link to the external area. At first floor a new bedroom was installed, and adjustments made to provide ensuite facilities.
The location in the Conservation Area of Totley provided a number of challenges for the project, alongside the neighbouring listed buildings and significant mature trees on the adjacent plot of land.
