T.A.D. Architects were appointed by Kier Construction to develop the design of this project from the end of RIBA Stage 3 through to completion. The existing red-bricked building is currently in use as workshops with associated storage and shares a courtyard with adjacent nursery and office buildings. The existing building will be refurbished and developed to provide 4 classrooms, a multi-purpose hall and staff spaces. Leicester Partnership School will relocate 30 KS4 pupils with SEMH needs from the Carisbrooke Centre site. The work involved structural and non-structural alterations, refurbishment throughout, replacement of a mezzanine floor, replacement of all windows, doors and MEP services, plus minor external drainage, civil works and landscaping for the site.
